I’ve partnered with Krusteaz this season to help make your life a little easier during the hectic Christmas rush. Their line of bakery-style cookie mixes may be just the ticket to bring good cheer to those on your gift-giving list.
Thanks to the generous gift pack from Krusteaz, I was able to put together some sweet treats that would bring a smile to just about anyone.
I know, I know. Dear loyal readers, oh how you know me. Miss “bake-it-from-scratch” everything. But let’s face it, there are times when shortcuts are warranted. I’m here to tell you that you can dress up these cookies made from the box and no one will ever know. Unless you tell them. Um, please don’t.
A lot of you just don’t have the time to fiddle with flour flying everywhere and to end up with a big mess to clean up. That’s where these Krusteaz cookie mixes come in super handy.
A bit of imagination takes a simple mix and turns easy-to-make cookies into bakery-style delights worthy of a pink box. Since it’s the holidays, there are all kinds of fun gift boxes out there perfect to wrap them up in.
Here’s a batch of Krusteaz Snickerdoodles ready to go. They were a breeze to make. One bowl, one spoon. All I needed was a stick of butter and a large egg. It doesn’t get any easier.
There always seem to be those last-minute gifts needed for those minor oversights made during the planning of the season. Don’t forget about people like your postman, the UPS driver, the auto service garage, teacher aides, bus drivers, hairdresser…you get the idea. Just sayin’….they love to be remembered.
I had fun dressing up these cookies. Every now and then Hubs circled through sneaking one or two. Or more. The yield is quite generous for a box mix, so I didn’t have to do any hand slapping. Just kidding.
Here’s a plate of sugar cookies dipped in melted chocolate then sprinkled with crushed peppermint candy. Again, easy.
Small cookie plates are always a nice gesture to say “Merry Christmas.” During the year I pick up cute seasonal plates that I find at thrift stores. They’re perfect for plating your home baked goodies. A little wrap and ribbon is all you need to finish it off.
I had fun using crinkled ribbon and special gift tags to embellish the boxes and plates with. It’s always nice to add a little personalized touch. It makes the recipient feel special, too.
Let Krusteaz help you out in a pinch. They have a good selection to choose from including Snickerdoodle, Butter Vanilla Sugar, Gingerbread, Shortbread, and Oatmeal Scotchies.
